Fished at Thunderbird on Saturady afternoon. Weather was HOT! Probably low 90's, much warmer than I had expected, about 25 degrees warmer than at the cabin. We decided to use the spinning gear again because the water has still not cleared off completely. Visibility was better, probably around a foot or foot-and-a-half. Karen started with the "secret weapon", a #1 Panther Martin with the gold blade, black body and yellow spots. I started a dual bladed Thomas Bouyant in line spinner, red and gold. Karen got a fish almost immediately, about 8". I couldn't buy a hit, so I started switching. Needlefish, Thomas Bouyant spoon, Kastmaster, none of these produced. Then I tried the "black beauty", a Mepps spinner with a brass body and black blade with red spots on the blade. That did the trick! I had a hookup on the third cast, a fish of about 10". I moved downstream a little to get to a nice pool/run, and I took 3 more fish, all between 10-12". Moved down a little more and got a couple more. Most of the fish hit on the downstream swing, as the spinner crossed the current. Karen landed a pretty big sucker fish, at about 14". A fair day overall, we landed about 8 fish between us, all were between 8-12", with the sucker at 14". Matt
