Date Fished 06/29/03
West Fork Carson River - Headed out to the West Fork of the Carson River at about 6:45 in the evening. I fished a stretch of river using a size 14 elk hair caddis fly. This stretch of river was quite crowded, as we joined about a dozen other people fishing the evening session. I believe that this stretch of river will be less crowded after the opening of the fishing season for the tributaries that feed Lake Tahoe (July 1st). I only hooked up with two small fish, but still had a good time. My friend Frank had his first fly fishing experience on this outing and seemed to enjoy the evening with his new gear. Nice gear and good job Frank!
